I am Mireia, a photographer and photography educator.
My practice moves between image-making and teaching, exploring photography as a tool to activate creativity and develop a personal way of seeing the world.
I studied at the Institut d’Estudis Fotogràfics de Catalunya (IEFC) in Barcelona and at Saint Martins School of Arts in London. Since 2013, I have combined artistic practice with teaching, focusing on the potential of photography to stimulate visual thinking and creative processes.
My work has been connected to projects in visual pedagogy and the transformative potential of photography, and I have served as coordinator of the Postgraduate Programme in Visual Pedagogy and Therapeutic Image at Instituto8 and the University of Barcelona.
Currently, I am coordinator and lecturer at the ERAM School of Photography, and professor of Photographic Creativity in the Multimedia and Audiovisual Degree at ERAM University School.
Alongside my teaching, I develop professional photography projects in the Baix Empordà and lead photographic experiences in nature, where photography becomes a way to observe, create and connect with the landscape.
